“At the time of making the wreaths,” explains Kate, “we were right in the middle of one of the most glorious summers we have had in this country for some time - the fields on my drive to work were full of the most beautifully golden corn, with the occasional burst of a brilliant poppy. This was the perfect starting point for my Summer Wreath, before adding daisies and cornflowers for contrast. The wreath is finished off with a couple of cabbage white butterflies and one little bee, happily buzzing away.”
