Enjoying a cool drink undisturbed– sounds great, but outdoors in summer this often turns out to be difficult. Various insects like midges or wasps like our fine drinks too much. In order to prevent them landing in my wine, I like to put a coaster as cover on the glass. The designs are appropriate, don’t you think? Of course you can use them as ordinary coasters, too.

The coasters are very easy to work with only knits and purls.

Required skills:
basic knitting skills (cast on, cast off, knit and purl)

Size:
When using the suggested yarn (100 % cotton yarn with 125 m / 50 gr), the coasters will be approx. 11,5 cm x 11, 5 cm.

Materials:

• approx. 10 gr per coaster, e.g. 100 % cotton 125 m / 50 gr in your desired colour
• 2,5 mm (US 1 or 2) knitting needles
• Tapestry needle, scissors
