The Summer of 77 Rainbow Wall Hanging is a sweet and fun crochet pattern with endless color combinations. It is the final pattern of the collection. The finished wall hanging is the perfect gift for any mama or baby in your life or if you just want to add some color to your home.
All of PJCo’s patterns are named in honor of either my Poppy or my Papa, and this one just so happens to be named Summer of 77 because that would have been the year my Pop graduated high school- he failed PE and refused to go to summer school haha Yet before he passed he was a certified master electrician, which is why I like telling that story! Just because you do not have a diploma or degree in something DOES NOT mean you cannot grow up to be something awesome!

I have labeled this pattern as intermediate because of the stitch used, it is worked from corner to corner yet not in the traditional manor, it is made with the moss stitch. So it can be quite tricky when increasing or adding colors.
I have included a row by row and a chart for your convenience… the increases DO NOT count as stitches so they ARE NOT written into the pattern or in the chart!!

I truly hope you enjoy working up this wall hanging as much as I did designing her. It holds a very special place in my heart!

Supplies
-Pattern calls for approximately 5-6 ounces of Category 4/worsted weight yarn, but honestly you can make it with whatever you choose to use- just keep in mind if you change the yarn the size will be different.
-US G/4.00mm crochet hook
-wooden dowel of something to tie your completed project to so you can hang it
