Child’s hat in 2 sizes (toddlers through 9 years old)

This rugged-looking hat has a hemmed edge (folded under) for extra ear warmth and an easy-to-finish, unique, peaked top. It is knit on single pointed needles to create a smooth hemline,
avoid monotonous circular knitting, give added structure, and aid recipient in distinguishing front from back (as seam
runs down the back). Hat can be worn with peaked top running side-to-side but seam will be on one side, still creating desired structure.

Models were knit in color changing yarn for a classic look.
Distinct patterning appears on the small size in recommended yarn; mottled-stripes are created in the larger size.
