PATTERN NOTES
Pattern written with the expectation that you know basics like elastic cast on techniques, reading colorwork charts, stranded colorwork/fair isle knitting. Video tutorials included for the folded brims (both upper and lower, as they use separate techniques).

YARN NOTES
This pattern requires fingering weight sock yarns. I’ve done it with 100% merino, merino/nylon blends, and a mixture of both. It works out with any of them, as long as you are mindful of tension. Choose the yarns with the right colors for you.

Less than a skein of each color is required. Minis are suitable for all colors except grey, which needs a little bit more.

SIZING NOTES
For sizing, please note that the head sizes given are the unstretched and stretched circumference of the finished upper brim. For a snug fit around the head, your dog’s head circumference should be closer to the stretched measurements. At this time, I have not written a version of this pattern for smaller dogs.
