Would you fall in love with a Sumo wrestler if he was sweet and made you laugh ? I would !

This PDF crochet pattern describes in US terminology how to crochet a Sumo Wrestler as shown on pictures. Finished size will be approx. 10,6” (27 cm) tall, crocheted using cotton yarn (sport weight), with hook size C (2,5 mm). If you wish to make a taller or smaller version of this amigurumi, you can just use thicker or thinner yarn / crochet hook. This pattern is also suitable for wool or acrylic yarn.

The pattern is mostly worked in continuous rounds. Only the loincloth is worked in rows.
Gauge is not important for this pattern, just crochet tight enough so the stuffing will not show through the stitches.

Skill level: intermediate

Materials used :

• Crochet hook size C (2.5 mm)
• Yarn: skin color (approx. 100 gr, 250 m / 274 yds), black (approx. 12 gr, 30 m / 33 yds), small amounts of white, red
• Fiberfill stuffing, black and light brown embroidery floss
• Stitch marker, tapestry needle, pins

Stitches used: chain, slip stitch, half/double/triple crochet, bobble stitch, increasing decreasing
