Sumptuous Diamonds
Crescent shaped shawl starring a wide Diamond border motif. Shawl is worked from the top down starting with a decorative neck edge, and attaining it’s shape through increases of 2 sts. per row, short rows using the German double stitch method, (so easy, will guide you to a great youtube tutorial) and increase of stitches within some rows.
Knitters with moderate experience will enjoy.
Sized at 22” down the middle back and 60” across the shoulders after wet blocking with this yarn. Length can easily be adjusted through the last row repeats.
Pattern is in both charts and written instruction.
Gauge is not too important as different yarns will yield slightly different dimensions.
Materials needed:
3 Skeins Queensland Oxley, Sport weight ( 12 wpi) 700 yds.
#5, 3.75 Knitting Needles.
2 markers, extra if you mark pattern repeats.
