Sumter is a shawlette designed with the shore in mind. Whether worn as a shoulder wrap or around the neck as a kerchief, Sumter is a light option for summer knitting on the beach, lakefront or beyond.
This is a two skein fingering weight project, but the border can easily be knit in several colors in stripes. You will need roughly 22g of the two border colors to make a shawl similar to the sample.
Blocked dimensions of shawl are 50” across and 19” deep.
