This pattern is available in English and Finnish. When you purchase the pattern, it contains two separate files, one in each language.

English:
Sumu is a classic V-neck cardigan with delicate flower embroidery on the shoulders. The cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down.
The upper body is worked first. When the raglan- and V-neck increases are complete, sleeve stitches are placed on hold and the body is worked towards the hem, adding a slight A-shaping. Sleeve stitches are then placed back on the needles and the sleeves are worked in the round towards the cuffs. Tubular bind-off adds a nice finishing touch to the ribbed edges and button band (photo tutorial for the bind-off included).

YARN
335 (375, 410, 460, 490, 535, 590, 625) g Vänö Ull Lammull (Vänö Ull Karitsanvillalanka) (approximately 328 yds / 300 m per 100 g, 100 % Finnish lamb wool); shown in natural white,
or approximately 1100 (1220, 1335, 1500, 1595, 1755, 1925, 2040) yds / 1005 (1120, 1225, 1370, 1460, 1605, 1760, 1865) m similar yarn.
When substituting, please note that the recommended yarn is a rustic wool yarn that’s slightly coarse and uneven. This results in a gauge that is more similar to worsted / aran weight yarn although it’s listed as sportweight.

For main body, raglans and sleeves:
US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needle, 32” / 80 cm or longer
US 7 / 4.5 mm double-pointed needles (or a long circular needle if using Magic loop technique)

GAUGE
18.5 sts and 28 rows in Stockinette stitch using larger needles = 4” / 10 cm after washing and blocking. Use the needle size that gives you the correct gauge.

Finnish/Suomeksi:
Sumu on klassinen V-päänteinen neuletakki jossa on koristeena kirjailtuja kukkia. Neuletakki neulotaan saumattomana ylhäältä alas.
Työ aloitetaan ylhäältä pääntieltä, jossa tehdään raglan- ja V-pääntien lisäyksiä. Kun yläosa on valmis, hihan silmukat laitetaan odottamaan ja seuraavaksi neulotaan vartalo sekä nappilista. Hihan silmukat laitetaan sen jälkeen takaisin puikoille ja hihat neulotaan pyörönä ylhäältä alas. Joustinneulereunukset päätellään Tubular bind off -tekniikalla, jolla saa aikaiseksi siistin ja joustavan reunuksen. Ohjeesta löytyy kuvallinen tekniikkaohje päättelyä varten.

Jos haluat korvata langan toisella, kannattaa ottaa huomioon että vaikka ohjeen lanka on merkitty sport-vahvuiseksi, sitä ei suoraan pysty korvaamaan teollisella sport-vahvuisella langalla. Tämä lanka on rouhea joten se käyttäytyy neulottaessa kuin hieman paksumpi lanka. Tee siis aina mallitilkku! Jos korvaat tämän teollisella langalla, sopivia vaihtoehtoja voisivat olla worsted- tai aran-vahvuiset langat.
