Sun Flower Lace Scarf
This stunning scarf is a perfect accessory for any time of year.
Knit in this beautiful burnt wheat shade, the autumnal shade highlights the falling leaves which tumble across the entire embellished surface, but icy blue would equally conjure up images of frosty flowers and bright Spring shades are just as apt.
The project is interesting to knit; it begins with a picot cast on which has been developed to lie flat and not detract from the striking curves of the first pattern repeat. The pattern is easy to memorise after just a couple of repeats, it has been developed to avoid the appearance of overly large eyelets in the first rows of each repeat. It undulates prettily when blocked and there’s a fantastic drape to the blocked piece. A final picot cast off is its final parade, again developed to avoid bunching of picots, whilst at the same time adding an essential embellishment to the scarf’s glory.
