Sun-Ray Ribbing
This stylish garment is knitted in separate pieces, which are each knitted from the bottom up. The vertically diminishing ribbing cleverly brings the pattern inward, creating a sun-ray effect. The raglan shaping creates a well-fitting neckline whilst continuing the rib pattern. The raglan sections of the sleeves and body pieces are joined together, then a circular needle is used to knit the neckband, creating the fiery tips of the rays encircling the collar bone and drawing the eye upwards.
It is knitted in Excelana 4ply 100% british wool, which is soft against the skin and also has great elasticity and definition, both of which are essential for this form-fitting, ribbed garment. The shade is Siren, a warm, pillar-box red, which really sets off this fabulous design.
The sample shown in the photographs is the third size, worn with 2.5cm (1in) of positive ease. It is suggested you choose a size with 0-2.5cm (0-1in) of positive ease at the chest to achieve a similar fit to that shown.
