Sun Tapestry is a beautiful wall hanging design made with intarsia and tapestry crochet technique. You might have seen spiral sun designs before but this sun has spirals on his cheeks!

Skill level: Advanced Beginner/Intermediate. This pattern has a lot of color changes.

This pattern has a chart as well as color block and written instructions. Both right and left hand instructions included.

Materials

2 colors of any weight yarn and a crochet hook – I recommend choosing 0.5-1 mm smaller hook than what the yarn suggests – that will make your end result neater
• A = Background color
• B = Contrast color
Yarn needle
Scissors
Wooden dowel slightly longer than your project

Gauge, Yardage & Measurements

Gauge, yardage and your project’s measurements depend entirely on the yarn you choose to use.
Your gauge is not important but ideally your row count should be a bit more than stitch count per 10cmx10cm/4”x4” square (for example 14 sc x 15 rows) before blocking.

With DK weight yarn and 3.5mm crochet hook

Gauge before blocking: 21 sc x 22 rows = 10cmx10cm / 4”x4”
Measurements after blocking with sc-border and dowel: 35cm/13.8” height x 35cm/13.8” width
I used less than one 100g skein for each color
