Sun visor hat for babies
The baby sun visor hat is constructed with 6 granny squares and 1 hexagon. Small amounts of four colors are required: a perfect pattern for using up stash of DK cotton and cotton blends.
The color you have the most of can be used for the visor. This main color will be the one you should have at least a 50g skein available. It can also be the color that joins the squares and hexagon.
No traditional gauge is given, but six granny squares will give a circumference of around 18 inches.
Stitch charts are provided for easy reference.
Though designed for a baby, a larger hook and heavier yarn will produce a larger hat. Make one square, measure it, then multiply by 6 to estimate the circumference that will result. Elastic can be inserted on the final round to give a custom fit.
