Sunbonnet Scoodie
The hood portion of this scoodie is inspired by the shape of an old fashioned sunbonnet. It has more room for a hairdo than most due to the gathers plus it is very warm. Use any yarn you wish. The pattern is given in gauges of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 stitches and 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 rows per inch. The gauge changes are the numbers in brackets. Only 1 size is given. The scarf is very loosely knitted and soft because we drop stitches and let them run but the fabric is doubled so it is still warm. The result is a fabric that knots and wraps softly. It is shown at right with the 60” scarf doubled and knotted twice at the neck. This de-
sign is a good candidate for an extra long scarf. The sample was made with 3 strands of very thin yarn run together to get the tweedy effect
