These coasters are fun to make, give an amazing result and are a welcome gift or giveaway for various purposes.

The pattern gives detailed written instructions for the Sunburst Rounds coaster. A phototutorial supports the rounds that form the sunburst. The pattern is made for advanced beginners, you should be familiar with a magic ring, front post stitches (dc and tc) and crab stitch (backward sc).

Sport weight cotton or cotton-mix in 2 contrasting colors give best results. For one coaster you will need 6 g (0.22 oz) in color A and 6 g (0.22 oz) in the contrasting colour B. The finished item has a diameter of approx. 11 cm / 4.3 in. If you make several of these coasters, you can make them in reverse colors or make all sunbursts in the same color and vary the color around (or vice versa), as you like it. In every case, these coasters are a brilliant stash-booster.
