Suncatcher Socks… Light and easy ankle/shortie socks for warmer days! The decorative purl eyelet lace offers beauty but also built-in “air condition”! ;) Cool for the daytime, but just enough warmth for those chilly evenings with seasonal transitions. Instructions given for Magic Loop Method but pattern is easily adaptable for those preferring to use DPNS. A plain stockinette/stocking stitch heel flap and gusset, as well as a wedge toe are given, but feel free to use your favorite heel and toe constructions. Choose between two cuff options: a gently ruffled cuff, or simple rolled cuff. More options: knit the socks all in one color, or mix it up and be playful with contrast cuffs, heels and toes! An easy and fun knit that uses minimal yarn, this can be a nice project for using up smaller bits from stash. Use any 4 ply/fingering weight sock yarn. Decorative stitch pattern is most attractive when using solid color, semi-solid/tonal or gently speckled yarns.
