Sizing: Designed with 30 cm (12 inches) of positive ease. I recommend knitting a size which is 24-40 cm (10-15 inches) above your actual bust size.

Gauge: 16sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10cm stocking stitch on 5mm (US 8) needles, blocked.

Recommended yarn: Aran weight wool (or similar) and Lace mohair (or alternative) based yarns. Held double. It is possible to knit without the mohair if you prefer.
The pattern includes a list of recommended yarns used by testers. Please complete a gauge swatch before knitting to ensure the garment will initially fit you and you’re happy with the look and feel of the yarn you’re using. The meterage includes amounts needed to gauge swatch so you shouldn’t be worried about any games of yarn chicken (unless you decide to knit your garment longer than stated in the pattern)

Yarn Amounts: 703 (872) 1,002 (1,220) 1,427 (1,647) 1,878 (2,127) 2,337 (2,635) metres

Required tools: 5mm (US 8) circular needles (with 40, 80- 120cm cables), cable needle, embroidery needle, scissors, 11 stitch markers and scrap yarn, measuring tape, scissors

Difficulty: Intermediate, but would suit confident beginners

Techniques: Long tail/ tubular cast on, holding yarn together,
knitting in the round, raglan increases (m1r, m1l), cable knitting, 1x1 ribbing, tubular cast off

Construction: Top down with turtle neck and raglan construction and cable details on both sleeves. Length of sweater is changeable, depending if looking for a cropped, regular or longer sized fit.
The cable pattern is in both written and table format.
