Sunday Morning Cardigan
The Sunday Morning Cardigan is the perfect layer for the cooler months. The large shawl collar will keep you cosy and warm, whilst the oversized body will make you feel as though you are wrapped up in a hug. The perfect cardi to pair with any outfit from jeans to dresses!
The pattern includes charts in addition to written instructions for all cable sections.
Yarn:
The sample used 7 skeins of The Fibre Fox Merino Nylon DK (246yds/225m per 100g) in the “Rose Gold” colourway. The yardage required for each size is: 1412 (1550, 1770, 1905, 2053) (2195, 2425, 2583, 2814, 2940) yards 1291 (1417, 1618,
1742, 1877) (2007, 2217, 2361, 2573, 2688) meters. The yardage required may vary depending on the gauge, always knit a gauge swatch to achieve the desired fit.
Recommended Needle Size:
Main Needle - 40” 3.75mm (US Size 5) circular needle, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.
Smaller Needle - 40” 3.25mm (US Size 3) circular needle, or 1 or 2 sizes smaller than the main needle. Use an appropriate cable length or DPNs for knitting the sleeves on a small circumference.
Gauge:
22 sts / 32 rows = 4” (10cm) in textured stitch with main needle working flat.
22 sts / 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in stockinette stitch with main needle working in the round.
Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) Sample shown in size 2 on a 34” bust. Finished bust measurements: 38 (42, 46, 50, 54)(58, 62, 66, 70, 74) inches / 96 (107, 116, 127, 136)(147, 156, 165, 176, 187) cm. Recommended ease is 8-12” (20-30cm) of positive ease.
