Sunday Morning Socks Toe Up
Sunday Morning Socks are my homage to all things cozy! These are the Sunday morning, frost still on the ground as the first rays of dusty sunlight filter through the trees, curled up on the couch with a hot beverage, with some knitting or a favourite book, ultimate squish socks!
These socks are constructed from the toe up using a light DK weight yarn held with a strand of lace weight mohair. The mohair will add strength, so this pattern is great for using those special single skeins hiding in the stash that might not otherwise be super long wearing for socks.
If you are not a mohair fan, use DK weight sock yarn or fingering weight sock yarn held double! These are truly stash busting socks.
And they are very speedy! Making them a great option for gifting.
I included two different cuffs: A basic 2 x 1 ribbed cuff, and a double seamed cuff. There are also two heel options: I’ve included a German short row heel, and also recommend the Fish Lips Kiss Heel by Soxtherapist. Testers also enjoyed using afterthought heels, and gusset and flap styles too.
And if you prefer Cuff Down construction you can find that here.
Thank you so much! I hope you love the pattern and I can’t wait to see your socks! Please be sure to tag me on Instagram!
