Part three of Yarnesty Cowl.lection Yarn Club takes you to the beautiful village of Sundborn in Dalecarlia.
For most people, the village is best known for being the home of the painter Carl Larsson and his creative wife Karin. That was also the reason I visited Sundborn the first time; to see the museum of Carl Larsson which is in their home Lilla Hyltenäs.
Some years later my children went to a Confirmation camp in Sundbornsgården, the old vicarage of Sundborn.
The moment I came into the 18th-century house I loved its cosy interior. My children love the place and come back year after year to work at the confirmation camp.
I knew that I also wanted to give Sundborndsgården a place in my heart.
What could be better than to arrange a knitting retreat? So I did. In early 2018 40 knitters gathering for a weekend in Sundbornsgården. That weekend was such a fantastic experience, I do hope I will be able to arrange another knitting retreat in Sundborn in 2019!
