Knit our Pinafore Dress with Tulip Flowers suitable to fit a baby/child from 6 months to 2 years old.

Design:
The dress has a tulip flower pattern and the hemline has a reverse stocking stitch and bobble pattern which is also repeated around the neckline. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together.

Sizes:
The pattern includes 4 sizes to fit 4 sizes: 6m, 12m, 18m and 24 months old.

Yarn:
The pattern uses double-knitting wool. An alternative would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply for international knitters. You will also need size 4 mm (US 6) straight needles and 4 buttons.
The picture shows the size 6 months old knitted using Rico Baby Cotton Soft DK in shade 050 (Patina). You will need 3 (4, 4, 5) 50g balls.

Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.

Other requirements:
4 buttons
