The finished sunflower measures 3.5’’ across approx when made with a 3.5mm hook and DK weight yarn. The project is ideal for beginner crocheters looking to extend their skills, or intermediate crocheters looking for a quick and easy project to achieve within the hour. You can sew or pin the finished sunflower onto bags, coats, scarves or other accessories, making it an ideal birthday present or gift for Mother’s Day. It’s also a great stash buster project, as only small quantities of yellow and brown yarn are needed. The size of the sunflower can be easily changed by using a different size hook and yarn weight.

For this pattern, you will need:

Yarn: Small quantities of DK weight yarn in yellow and dark brown.
Hook: 3.5mm
Tapestry needle
Stitch marker
Scissors
