The pattern is written out twice depending on your skill level. The first is a quick read version with common abbreviations for each stitch. The second version is written much more detailed and includes photos for each step to help you along the way.

It will take approximately 3-4 hours to complete. For this purse I used Marvel 8ply yarn which I sourced from Spotlight.

The best bit about this basket pattern - it has sturdy walls and base - no more floppy basket walls!

Materials Needed
o 1 ball 8ply Marvel yarn – hawthorn
o 1 ball 8ply Marvel yarn – gold
o 4mm crochet hook
o Sewing needle
o 15cm round craft mesh canvas
o 2 craft mesh canvas sheets
o Cotton sewing thread
o Scissors

Gauge & Finished Size
Gauge: Single crochet – 16 stitches x 9 rows per 4”
Finished Size: 8.5cm high x 14cm inner diameter / 24cm petal to petal diameter

Terminology & Stitches Used
o MR - Magic ring
o St/Sts - Stitch/Stitches
o Ch - Chain
o Sc - Single crochet
o Dc - Double crochet
o Sl st - Slip stitch
o Picot - ch3, sl st into 3rd ch from hook
o FLO - front loop only
o BLO - back loop only
o 3rd loop - bump or loop at the back of the stitch
