I designed this crocheted blanket to be portable during construction; it’s so much easier to wrangle individual ten-row hexagon tiles than it is to lug around a single 45+ row circle. The flowers are added directly to the tiles before assembly, then a border with leaves completes the blanket.
The pattern is written in US terms. Some crochet charts are included, as well as a Stitch Glossary with several groups of pictures to illustrate some of the terms (i.e. Magic Circle).
The finished product is hexagonal in shape and measures 56” at the widest point and 48” at the narrowest. It uses about 2 pounds of worsted weight yarn and 6mm and 5mm crochet hooks.
I used saffron colored yarn to make the flower petals, but you should feel free to let your imagination run wild with your own color choices!
This pattern is not to be shared digitally or otherwise, but you can sell the finished blankets. I’d love to see your finished projects in a review!
