The pattern uses two colors- one for the center and one for the petal. I made 4 medium sized coasters and had yarn to spare of both colors.

The size of the center can vary to your preference to make larger or smaller flowers. This can then work either as a coaster or a trivet for hot dishes.

I recommend using either Sugar ‘n Cream yarn or another cotton yarn as it’s more absorbent for condensation from your glasses.
