Sunflower Lovers Blanket
Featuring an ever-popular sunflower design, this pattern builds up granny square, hexagon and triangle motifs to create a striking geometric blanket! Individual shapes are joined using the join as you go technique, then finished with a simple crab stitch border.
You will need to be familiar with single, double and treble crochet stitches, and working into the front post. Written in English using US terminology, the pattern features comprehensive photo tutorials and links to video demonstrations for the other stitches used which may be less familiar. This pattern is suitable for intermediate crocheters, and those familiar with the basics who like a challenge!
You will need:
-approximately 2350-2650m/2570-2898yds of DK weight yarn (double knitting, light worsted, #3)
-a 4mm and a 3mm hook
-stitch markers
The finished blanket measures approximately 109cm (43”) wide and 122cm (48”) long, measured at the widest/longest points. Size can be adjusted by altering the number of motifs - this will affect the amount of yarn required.
Since this blanket is made up of several individual motifs, there are a LOT of ends to sew in. I strongly recommend weaving in ends as you go!
