Sunflower Meadows
This is a very simple knit or crochet shawl that is made sideways instead of top/down or bottom/up as with other shawls. You only need to know how to knit or croceht and increase stitches to make this shawl!
It is a one size option but you can make the shawl as big or small as you choose with this pattern - just keep going until you like the size.
I used 3 skeins of DK weight yarn - 220 yards per skein but you could easily make this shawl with worsted or fingering as well. I used three separate colors to recall to mind a meadow of sunflowers in remembrance of the Suffragettes who won women’s right to vote in the early 1900’s. Sunflowers were their flower of choice!
I used a 60” needle but you could probably also use a 40” needle without too much problem.
