Sunflowers are magic, shooting up towering stalks with flowers the size of dinner plates from a tiny seed in just one season. One of the last flowers of summer to shine their sunny faces, I designed this pattern to keep that sunny feeling with me all winter.

These mittens are stranded 2 color knit in the round from the bottom up using an easy to follow charted pattern. Duplicate stitch for petals, bee stripes and leaves really make the pattern pop. You can use any 2 contrasting colors. I’ve used yellow/brown, blue/brown, and green/black for very different looking mittens using the same pattern.

The mittens shown were knit in sock/fingering weight with 2mm needles for a Women’s med size
