Sunflower with Peace Sign
Written row by row instructions are for Single crochet (many other stitches can be used when completing graphs including SC, ESC, HDC, and Bobble Stitch). I do not recommend using DC as it will skew the image vertically.
HOOK AND GAUGE
I generally use a 4.5 mm hook to obtain the gauge of 4 sc stitches by 4 rows = 1”. You will need to do a gauge swatch with the hook and yarn you plan to use to determine what will work best for you.
Note that your blanket may vary depending on the stitch you choose, hook size, yarn, and personal tension.
SIZE
I cannot accurately predict the size of your finished blanket or the yardage needed to complete the project. Every person’s blanket will vary depending on stitch choice, hook, yarn, and personal tension. The estimated size is 45”x45” using the common gauge listed.
COLORS AND LEGEND
Legends will include general colors like “white, yellow, blue” etc. This way you have the freedom to choose the brand you prefer to work with and have available where you are located or pull from your personal stash.
I do not provide an estimate of the yardage needed as everyone’s blanket will need different amounts of yarn depending on the stitch, hook, yarn, and personal tension. I do provide a link to my favorite yarn calculator as well as total stitches by color.
The pattern includes:
● Legend with Abbreviation key
● Basic instructions on how to start a project
● Written instructions
● Chart - single and multiple page
