The Sunny Rays Beanie is a super cute, well fitting and warm Retro Look hat pattern and comes in five Sizes: 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years, 2-3 years, 3-4 years

To fit head circumferences of approx. 40- 43- 46- 48- 51 cm or 16- 17- 18- 19- 20 “

Materials: DK Weight Yarn, 50 g (175m) in Main Colour (natural) and 50 g (175m) in Contrast Colour (blue, pink or white)

Yarn Suggestion: Rowan Felted Tweed DK Knitting Needles: 4.5 mm or US7 , short circular (40 cm or 16 “) or DPN’s for seamless hat

Tension/ Gauge: 20 sts and 40 rows make 10 cm or 4 “ square

The hat is worked flat, from side to side and comes in two versions, seamed and seamless.

The seamed version can be worked on straight needles. crochet hook and waste yarn, only needed if you are working seamlessly tapestry needle for seaming or Kitchener stitch join, depending on your chosen method

NOTE: This hat is worked flat and side to side, then finished with a garter band and I-Cord cast off. It can be made seamlessly or with a seam at centre back, both ways are described in the pattern instructions. This hat is worked using short rows. I give instructions for the German short row method; feel free to use any type method you prefer instead.
