Sunny Spring Cowl
The Sunny Spring Cowl is a crochet cowl pattern for dk weight yarn. The cowl features a lace pattern that is easy to master. Use the suggested dk cotton yarns for a lightweight cowl or use any dk weight yarn of your choice. With both a two-color and three-color option, you can make a cowl to go with any outfit you like.
This crochet cowl pattern includes instructions for making both a two-color and a three-color cowl. Detailed photo tutorials explain how to change colors and join the edges of the cowl. There is also a photo tutorial for how to work into the base chain.
Finished Measurements: Three-Color Version: Approximately 10” wide and 33” circumference. Two-Color Version: Approximately 10” wide and 22” circumference.
Sample were crocheted using: Three-Color Version: Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK (100% cotton), 137 yd 125 m/1.8 oz 50 g in #455 (Peach Orange), #422 (Daffodil Yellow), #409 (Light Caramel), approximately 1 skein of each color. Two-Color Version: Sirdar Snuggly Cotton DK (100% cotton), 116 yd 106 m/1.8 oz 50 g in #0763 (Powder), #757 (Light Grey), approximately 1 skein of each color..
Recommended hook is size is G/6 (4.0 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Materials:
- DK weight yarn (#3 light) in color(s) of your choice. Approximately 110 yards of each color. For the three-color version, approximately 330 yards (110 yards of three different colors). For the two-color version, approximately 220 yards (110 yards of two different colors).
- Crochet hook size G or size needed to obtain gauge.
- Tapestry needle.
- Stitch markers.
Level: Advanced beginner.
