Crocheting your own cloths is not only satisfying and quick, but it’s great for the environment, too! These cloths can be used for anything, make perfect washcloths for babies, face, home, and have wonderful texture. Combined with a classic striped design, they can be made to match any interior and are excellent for using up scraps cotton or any plant-based yarn.
This deluxe, full-colour pattern booklet will give you all you need to work up these coasters. This pattern has been fully tested by experienced crocheters.
Please ensure you are at the crochet level required before purchasing this pattern. This pattern is not suitable for complete beginners. You will need to be confident with the techniques listed in the ‘Skills’ section to complete this pattern successfully.
US TERMINOLOGY USED THROUGHOUT.
Measurements: 28cm/11” by 24cm/9.5”
Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate.
Gauge: 20 stitches, 24 rows to 10 cm/4”.
Yarn: Two 50g balls of 50g/75m of DK/light worsted cotton (that works up to the gauge required in extended single crochet) in colour one (C1) and colour two (C2). Yarn used in this pattern is listed in the pattern.
Tools: 4mm and 5mm (US G-6 & H-8) crochet hook, scissors, yarn needle, removable stitch marker (optional).
Skills & abbreviations: Colour one (C1), colour two (C2), right side (rs), wrong side (ws), yarn over (yo), chain stitch (ch st), skip stitch (sk), single crochet (sc – UK double crochet, dc), extended single crochet (esc - instructions are given in the pattern), changing colours, weaving in ends, wet blocking (optional).
