The following stitches are used in this pattern:
Mc – magic circle
Ch – chain
St(s) – stitch(es)
Sc – single crochet
Inc – increase. Work 2 single crochet into stitch to increase by one stitch. Dec – decrease. Single crochet two together to decrease by one stitch.
Sl st – slip stitch

Very Important Note Regarding Gauge:

15 stitches x 16 rows = 4 x 4 inch square swatch in single crochet. Using the hook that obtains this gauge will yield a stork that is approximately 11 inches from head to toe. Every person who crochets naturally works with a different tension, and the hook size and gauge can be adjusted to make your item larger or smaller. Matching these specific gauge is not a necessity and can be adjusted to make your item whatever size you like.
