A Tunisian crochet blanket on the bias made with hand dyed yarn held double for an effortlessly soft and cozy carseat blanket

Making this blanket, I wanted something small that would be perfect for the baby’s carseat. Realistically, babies really don’t use blankets until after they are 1. But having a recent 1 year old, the carseat blanket was the perfect way to keep them warm without adding too much bulk to the situation.

This is a perfect stash busting project. Using 1 skein of hand dyed yarn held double with a solid color yarn, this blanket worked up quickly (took me a bit longer than LOTR - Two Towers) and is a perfect gift to expecting families.

This blanket would be easy to customize. You are making a square and when you have a little over half of your yarn left, then you start the decreases. As long as you weigh your yarn, you should be able to make it any size.
