This pattern is perfect for a 100g (3.5 oz) skein of handspun yarn in sport to fingering weight (approx. 370m / 404 yds) lying around in your stash! It has a wide wingspan and a semicircular shape. The decorative yarn-overs are arranged to resemble sunrays and the picot edge gives a playful, feminine finish.

You can use any other yarn weight together with a matching needle size. You can use more yarn and continue knitting until you like the size. My prototype shawlette with 370m (404 yds) of fingering weight yarn has a wingspan of ca. 165cm (65 inches).

Knitting techniques: knit, purl, yarn over, decreases, cast on / bind off.
This pattern is suitable for beginners – first-time shawl knitters, first-time “lace” knitters, and first-time picot bind-off knitters as well ☺
There are two English versions, one with metric units (meters, cm, grams) and one with US units (yards, inches, oz).

Diese Anleitung eignet sich perfekt für 100g handgesponnenes Garn (Sport bis Fingering, ca. 370 m) das in deinem Stash herumliegt. Es hat eine halbrunde Form und eine grosse Spannweite. Dekorative Umschläge erinnern an Sonnenstrahlen und der Picot-Rand sorgt für einen verspielten, femininen Abschluss.

Du kannst jede beliebige Garnstärke zusammen mit einer passenden Nadelstärke verwenden, und so lange stricken bis dir die Grösse gefällt. Mein Prototyp aus 370 m Fingering Garn hat eine Spannweite von 165 cm.

Stricktechniken: rechte und linke Maschen, Umschläge, Abnahmen, Anschlagen/Abketten.
Geeignet für Anfänger – Tuch-Anfänger, Lochmuster-Anfänger, und auch Picot-Abkett-Anfänger :)

Questo pattern è perfetto per una matassa da 100 gr filata a mano di categoria sport o fingering (di circa 370 metri) che giace inutilizzata nello stash! E’ molto ampio ed ha forma semicircolare. Le gettate decorative sono posizionate in modo da riprodurre i raggi del sole ed il bordo a festoni dà un tocco allegro e femminile.

E’ possibile utilizzare qualsiasi altro filato con i ferri adatti a lavorarlo. Si può utilizzare una maggiore quantità di filato e continuare a lavorare fino alla grandezza desiderata. Il mio prototipo lavorato con 370 m di filato ha una ampiezza di circa 165 cm.

Requisiti tecnici: diritto, rovescio, gettata, diminuzioni, avvio / chiusura. Il pattern è adatto ai principianti, neofiti degli scialli, del “lace” e dei festoni :)
