There is no specific gauge for this pattern, because you simply work until it’s big enough!

The original version uses fingering weight for the main body of the shrug and a laceweight mohair for the skirt.

The striped version uses fingering weight yarn (Arya Ebruli & Arya Ebruli Sim) for both.
