Sunset Beach Shawl
There’s a charming spot a few miles from my house called Sunset Beach – a small strip of white sand that meets the Gulf of Mexico. True to its name, it is the perfect place to watch the sunsets that Florida is known for. On cloudy days, the sunset causes the sky to explode with purple, pink, and aqua. On cloudless days, there is a beautiful fade from the brilliant yellow as the sun dips below the water into green and dark blue as the night tiptoes in. The Sunset Beach Shawl is meant to reflect these gorgeous sunsets and is the perfect project to use a color-changing gradient yarn.
Using a fingering weight cotton/acrylic blend yarn, the Sunset Beach Shawl is the perfect accompaniment for warm climates, and those transitional seasons.*
This pattern uses approximately 830 yards of fingering weight yarn, and includes an optional extension portion in the instructions should you prefer a larger shawl.
