Using huge needles may feel awkward at first, but the loose stitches help you knit a light and cozy wrap. Using smaller needles would create a tighter, heavier, fabric that would feel more like felt.

Knit the wrap in a single color, or combine two as done here. I chose two variegated chunky Malabrigo skeins: one in cool tones and the second in warm tones, for fun.
