I knitted this with 4 skeins of Millefiori, I had approximately 1/2 skein left. Then I had it test knitted in Blue Heron Rayon twist and used just over 1 skein. The pattern can easliy be made longer or shorter, just adjusting the amount of stitches for the knitted on lace edging. The Millefiori is for warmth but using the rayon gave it a dressy drapey feel. You could really use any yarn for this. I actually designed it to show the beauty of the yarn
