Sunset Shawl
This pattern is the result of the question we all have when we have that one skein of beautiful yarn and we want the “perfect” project to show it off. I have wanted to knit the Holden Shawl for a couple of years now so using it for inspiration the Sunset Shawl came about.
I only had 437 yds to work with, so had to design a shawl that would work with this amount. The lace section in Holden is so pretty, I have used that in my pattern.
Holden used to be a free pattern up until about a year ago, but it is still available here on Ravelry, just not free anymore. You will have to get the pattern for Holden to work the lace section, hopefully many of you still have it in your library.
Shawl measures about 62x30” after blocking and using size 6 & 7 needles.
I only had about 2 yds left of the Rowan (cutting it close, but no leftovers!) but there are suggestions in pattern for different finishings if you have more yarn to work with.
please take note when working the eyelet row, next row will be a purl row or row 4, then work rows 3 and 4 as instructed in pattern.
