Sunset Windcatcher
After many attempts of making a redesign of a crochet windcatcher I could discover some tricks to achieve a wider surface, while maintaining the levels aligned, it’s really original and fun to make.
There is a main version of 7 rows, and an alternative version that goes up to 9 rows, it was made to better suit different kinds of yarn, specially acrylic and the more stretchy ones. But the main version it’s awesome to use thicker and denser yarn, resulting in a sturdy structure.
There are some variables on this project, like spacing of the inicial cord, height of the stitches, tension and hook size, yarn type, you’ll have to keep that in mind and experiment to find the perfect fit for you.
For this pattern you will may need an extra hook 1-2.5mm larger than the main hook for the foundation cord, all the details, tips, troubleshooting, charts and pictures are included in the pattern file.
If you need any help throughout the process send me an email, or a DM and I can help you out.
