Sparkling glints of beads peak from the gentle curves of eyelet ribbing in the Sunshine and Dewdrops shawl. Zigzagging solar rays frame the shawl along its two bottom edges.
The use of beads for this project is optional. The beads are placed using the crochet hook method.
This asymmetrical triangular shawl is knit on the bias from one tip to the opposite edge. The lace border along the left is worked at the same time as the main body using intarsia. After the shawl body is completed, the border turns the corner at the bottom tip of the shawl and becomes a knitted-on lace border, binding off the main body’s live stitches.
Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl.
