This carpet takes about 30 hours to make using a 10 mm hook (which is size N/P in the US) and 1700-1800 meters of 5 mm thick cotton string. The final size is 140x190 cm. I use the same kind of string they put in sweatshirts to tighten the hood.

If you use a string of different thickness, you should use a crochet hook that is twice as thick as the string.
