Sunshine Lane Cardigan
This children’s cardigan features a textured stitch pattern, has a v-neck opening and a set in sleeves.
The cardigan is worked in separate front and back panels, with the bottom ribbing integrated as you go. Short rows are added on each side to shape the armholes and a v-neck opening.
After joining the shoulders, the band is added using slip stitch ribbing, and instructions are provided to adjust buttonholes placement for either side (boys’ or girls’ version).
This pattern features set-in sleeves shaped with short rows to form the sleeve cap and sides. Once complete, the sides of the sleeves and front and back panels are seamed with a crochet hook. Finally, the sleeves are sewn to the shoulder seams with a tapestry needle.
YouTube videos that demonstrate the stitches and techniques used are provided.
