Michigan can get a little bit dreary when it gets chilly, so I wanted to make something that would keep sunshine on my mind as the leaves start to change!

Materials:
US 8 (5mm) circular needles
US 8 (5mm) double pointed needles
~120 yards worsted weight yarn main color (MC; shown in Cascade 220 Superwash Merino)
~40 yards worsted weight contrasting color (CC; shown in Stonehedge Fiber Mill’s Shepherd’s Wool)

Gauge:
15 rows and 11 stitches over 2” in stockinette
Gauge is very important, as this hat could easily be too big. Please make a swatch!

k – knit
p – purl
yo – yarn over
k2tog – knit two stitches together
