This is an easy and quick pattern to make. The hat is made from band to top in one piece and then the pompom is attached. The scarf is made lengthwise, which can be daunting, but it means less rows to make.
I used Caron Simply Soft yarn 100% Acrylic 3 skeins in total (2 skeins of main color and 1 skein of contrast color) for both pieces. Needle size hook was 5 mm/H

Stitches consisted of sc, sl st , and ch, scblo and puff stitches.
