I wanted to make a yarn bowl out of this one skein of “Lion Brand BIG Prints” yarn, but couldn’t find the proper pattern; so I made one.

This is done in the round so you will need to either use your favorite circular method or do it flat and purl the reverse side, then sew it up in the end with a thin yarn or thread.

There was enough yarn left over to make this newborn hat. I liked the size of my original basket, but you could always add one more round and four more stitches after round four (making a total of 28 stitches and five rounds before starting the sides) to make it wider. I may try it sometime and add that pattern separately if I like it. The stitches are also pretty tight so you can also use a slightly larger needle if you have one.
