Super Bunny to the rescue!
Having been asked to design some knit toys for boys I have decided to create a Super Hero in the form of a bunny for Easter.
Super Bunny is accompanied by his sidekick Mrs Super Bunny and is having a wonderful time flying around my yard looking for someone to rescue!
This pair is a relatively simple project although it is categorized as intermediate because of the colorwork.
Both bunnies are knit flat from the bottom up. The feet and legs are done first and then continued on into the body and chest where raglan inset arms are added. At tis point the head is worked as a continuation of the body with just a color change.
The only separate pieces are the cape and eye bandana which are knit last and attached to the body.
Shaping of the knees, muscles ( supermen DO have BIG muscles) and elbows are worked in short rows and kfb increases are used to mould the shaping of the muscular bodies.
Full instructions are given for both Mr. and Mrs Super Bunny. They can just as easily be done in Worsted yarn but will then be a bit larger and taller than the 16.5” when done in (3).

The PERFECT unique Easter Bunny for the young boy ( or girl) in your life. He would be delighted to deliver a basket of chocolate eggs on one of his rescue missions. :)
