This pattern calls for 9.5mm double-pointed needles which are not commonly sold. I have a video tutorial linked in the blog post for this pattern which shows you how to make your own, or you will probably be okay with 9mm needles if you keep your tension loose.

The yarn I used is a nameless one, but the above yarn is a good substitute. Other possible substitutes are Bernat Pop! Bulky and Red Heart Team Spirit Chunky.

In the video tutorial I say this would fit from 0-3 months but having tried it on my 6-month-old, I have revised this to 0-6 months (although it would be fairly loose on a small newborn so use your judgement). In the written pattern the size is written as 0-6 months. This hat will stretch a lot.
