• DESCRIPTION
The hat and infinity scarf is easy to make, with advanced beginner knitters in mind.
Using knit and purl stitches, you will create ribbing, knit in the round, and decrease and shape.
This hat and large scarf will be super cozy to wear in the cold weather.
Yarn
3 skeins of super bulky yarn (in grey – I used Hayfield Super Chunky With Wool in shade 0051) for the infinity scarf.
I used 3 strands together for the scarf.
1 skein of Sirdar Big Softie in grey for the hat.
I made the skein into two balls and knit 2 strands together for the hat.
A great substitute yarn would be Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick.
Super Bulky Yarn.
Needles
Set of 10.00mm (US 15) 16″ circulars for the hat.
Set of 10.00mm (US 15) DPNs (Double Pointed Needles) This is optional for the decreases.
If you don’t want to use DPNs you may need to switch to a larger cable size to decrease the hat – a 60cm/24″ cable and use the magic loop technique.
Set of 25mm (US 50 ) for the infinity scarf.
